Thanks for stopping by. My name is Mark Robertson, and I am the man behind Mark.TheBuilder. This is what you get when your passion becomes a business. Mark.TheBuilder started out as a hobby, just something to do with my boys. With social media and producing some amazing hand-crafted projects; In October of 2019 I decided to turn my woodworking hobby into a business. The focus of Mark.TheBuilder is to make amazing woodworking projects while being a content creator / influencer.  Documenting the journey of each project, providing trade tips and tricks for all my DIYers, and allowing my customers to follow the process of their piece being made via social media. When you get a Mark.TheBuilder piece you are not only getting an amazing project you are getting the experience.

My early woodworking experience comes from my grandfather. I learned woodworking and basic construction as a kid, following my grandfather around his shop. We turned a 3-bedroom ranch style home into a 2 story 5-bedroom home. This sparked the enjoyment  of creating things with my hands. I placed woodworking on the back burner to chase my childhood dream of playing basketball. I was able to earn a free college education while playing basketball. Taking full advantage of the opportunity I was able to get a dual degree in computer science and accounting and  started my MBA. After I moved from my home state of New Jersey, to Texas I purchased my first home with a garage, I had the space to re-spark my woodworking passion and the ability pass the knowledge on to my boys.

I am currently serving the Dallas Fort-Worth area operating out of a 2-car garage (A lot of big businesses started in a garage) 😊 making everything from to built in units, accent walls, to high end dog kennels. You name it and we will try our best to make it.

If opportunity don’t come knocking build your own door. And if you can’t build the door, I can and we can knock on it together
